Pheim Asset Management (Asia) Pte Ltd (“Pheim Singapore” or the “Company”) has been made aware on 29 March 2026 of a fraudulent advertisement on Instagram involving the impersonation of Dr Tan Chong Koay (“Dr Tan”), the Founder, CEO, and Chief Strategist of the Company.

The suspected scammer created an Instagram account under the name of “tanchong7519”, using the profile image of Pheim Unit Trusts Bhd’s logo. The account circulated an Instagram Reel featuring an AI-manipulated video of Dr Tan, alongside the unauthorised use of Bursa Malaysia’s logo, purportedly discussing market fluctuations. This content was created without our knowledge or consent and does not originate from, nor is it affiliated with, Pheim Singapore or Pheim Malaysia.

Pheim Malaysia has lodged a police report in relation to this matter to safeguard the public from potential scams. Pheim also requested Instagram to promptly remove the fraudulent Reel and to restrict the associated account from engaging in further deceptive activities. In addition, the matter has been reported to the relevant authorities.

• No investment products or services are promoted by Dr Tan on social media.

• Verify the identity of individuals or organizations before engaging with them or disclosing personal information.
• Avoid schemes promising high returns or urgent limited-time investment opportunities.
• Do not transfer any funds or share personal details with suspicious parties.

If you encounter any suspicious accounts or fraudulent investment offers using Pheim’s name or Dr Tan’s identity, please report them immediately to us and to the appropriate regulatory authorities.
