SCAM ALERT – June 2025

Pheim Asset Management (Asia) Pte Ltd (“Pheim” or the “Company”) has been made aware on 22 June 2025 of a fraudulent advertisement on Facebook involving the impersonation of Dr Tan Chong Koay (“Dr Tan”), the Founder, CEO, and Chief Strategist of the Company.

The suspected scammer used an unauthorized photograph of Dr Tan, alongside the name “Dr. Chen Jungui”, which appears to be a direct translation of Dr Tan’s Chinese name “陈俊贵.” The Facebook advertisement also included an unknown link promoting a “gold investment” scheme that is not affiliated with, nor endorsed by, any representative of Pheim.

On 23 June 2025, as part of internal investigation, Pheim identified a fraudulent Facebook account operating under the name “Tan Chong Koay”, which was impersonating Dr Tan and promoting in-person online investment classes. Pheim also has reported this suspected scam to the relevant Authorities.

PHEIM’S OFFICIAL STAND:

• Pheim does not operate any investment advisory services via Facebook.
• Dr Tan does not conduct investment classes or seminars online or in person through Facebook or any other unauthorized platform.
• No investment products or services are promoted by Dr Tan on social media.

WARNING TO THE PUBLIC:  

Pheim strongly urge members of the public to remain vigilant and:

• Be cautious of unsolicited investment advice online or through social media platforms.
• Verify the identity of individuals or organizations before engaging with them or disclosing personal information.
• Avoid schemes promising high returns or urgent limited-time investment opportunities.
• Do not transfer any funds or share personal details with suspicious parties.

If you encounter any suspicious accounts or fraudulent investment offers using Pheim’s name or Dr Tan’s identity, please report them immediately to us and to the appropriate regulatory authorities.
